Are your Utility Bills correct?

Utility bills are not always subjected to the intense scrutiny they undoubtedly warrant. At Inteb we know the utility industry inside out and we know that they make mistakes which, when added to the complexity or contract rates, procurement issues, tenant recharging, metering changes etc., can lead to overpayments of tens of thousands of pounds. In general, these errors are spread across the whole spectrum of utility billing.

With our specialist software and team of validation experts, we carefully scrutinise each utility invoice we are given to validate. We find errors, but more than that we find possibilities for saving, for example, by changing the terms upon which the utility company is presently acting or negotiating with electricity suppliers for a new supply. If necessary we can in some cases, send out engineers to site to ensure that the information we need is accurate. We use advanced and robust validation software which can carefully analyse thousands of bills on behalf of our clients. This takes away the burden of scrutinising complicated billing information and allows our clients to concentrate on their core business activities.

Resolve all billing disputes with suppliers – only bills which have passed validation will be sent to the client for payment
Arrange with utility suppliers for all bills under their management to clearly show the client’s property number
Work with the client to improve their payment process to minimise the amount and value of late payment charges
On receipt of information from the client, issue change of tenancy details to suppliers and arrange for the utilities repository to be updated
Provide on an annual basis a report detailing savings which have been achieved through their bill validation services
Accruals for bills not received or held as incorrect can be provided on specific request at end of service charge periods
